Windflowers (Anemones) are a group of perennials with colorful poppy-like flowers that flutter in the breeze. When photographing this collection, I wanted to created a sense of movement. As some of you may know, after completing a new collection I enjoy playing house with my floral fossils. I love hanging them around my home, so I too can absorb those little petal details before I send them off to their new homes. So this time around I asked my photographer, Amy, to capture that interaction between me and my art as I hung them and admired them on the wall. As I looked upon their subtle details, and as I described them to her. She captured these subtle movements of me playing with my art and the results are spontaneous and beautiful.
